Please take a moment to read this affinity group’s description as you consider registering.

This series of conversations is designed for language educators who identify as first-generation immigrants.

First-generation immigrants refer to individuals who moved from their country of origin to a new country, typically with the intention of settling and establishing a new life.

This group welcomes participants of all immigration statuses. Its purpose is to address the unique experiences and challenges faced by immigrant educators in the American school system.

It is a space where we hope to share our experiences as immigrants, provide support for each other, and build a sense of belonging in the ACTFL community.
