- Who Should apply?
This scholarship is intended for secondary school and university-level Spanish teachers, including AP Spanish instructors, who wish to strengthen their Spanish skills, deepen their knowledge of Guatemalan culture, and enhance their teaching practices through an immersive Spanish language experience. No specific prior Spanish level is required. The school conducts an initial diagnostic assessment to place each participant at the appropriate level.
- Description of Scholarship - The scholarship includes two weeks of Spanish instruction (20 hours of one-to-one classes) and accommodation with a Guatemalan host family in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.
Applicants will need to cover the activity fees for activities that do require a cost (such as entrance fees to tourist sites or local transportation), as well as their transportation from the airport to Celas Maya in Quetzaltenango. - Important Dates:
