A Hybrid Program for Language Educators

The ACTFL Proficiency Institute for Higher Education is a free three-day, in-person program for postsecondary language educators seeking to deepen their knowledge of designing proficiency-based content, learning and instruction. The program is recommended for professors who prepare students for language teacher licensure or language majors, as well as for language researchers. Virtual follow-up sessions will be hosted in Fall 2026.

This program is open to:

  • Professors of Intermediate/Advanced language courses.
  • Professors of methods or other courses for pre-service language teachers.
  • Researchers of language or language pedagogy

Additional Information

  • Registration is free and includes daily breakfast and lunch.
  • Travel and hotel costs are not included.
