Tía Tula Colegio

Tía Tula is situated in the pedestrian historical center of Salamanca: a privileged and unbeatable location. The area is filled with students and tourists, as well as surrounded by the city's historic monuments (the Cathedrals, the House of the Shells, the Palace Anaya...), the Pontifical University and the faculties of Humanities of the University of Salamanca: Literature, Translation and Languages. The famous historic façade of the University is a few meters away and the Plaza Mayor less than a 2-minute walk down the Rúa Mayor, one of the main streets of the historical centre and where they are located.

Tía Tula Spanish School, in collaboration with the Government of Spain (Junta de Castilla y León), is offering scholarships of one week for Spanish teachers in the US at high school or college level, with Spanish teacher training/ refresher course, accommodation, cultural activities, and travel insurance included. Scholarship dates are either June 17 – 23, 2018, or July 1 – 7, 2018.

The scholarship includes:

  • Course fees
  • Cultural activities
  • Travel Insurance
  • Basic accommodations (shared room in a shared apartment)

The scholarship does not include:

Flights to and from Spain, airport transfers, meals, personal expenses, or weekend travels.

To be eligible a candidate must be:

  • Current ACTFL member (membership must be paid through March 2018 to be eligible)
  • Current current high school or undergraduate/graduate level teacher

The deadline to apply for this award is March 31, 2018. Applicants will be notified of a decision by the end of April 2018.
