Biography

Mychal‑Bella Rayne Bowman is an award‑winning actress, model, and humanitarian recognized for her standout roles in Barry Jenkins’ Golden Globe–winning and seven‑time Emmy‑nominated The Underground Railroad and the Golden Globe– and Emmy‑nominated Amazon series Dead Ringers. Indiewire praised her performance in The Underground Railroad as “honorable Emmy‑worthy.”

Celebrated by Forbes as a Top Teen Humanitarian, Mychal‑Bella has championed global health and gender equality through her partnership with (RED) and as an ESPN ESPY Title IX speaker. Her humanitarian work in Kenya inspired the launch of (BASICS BY: MYCHAL)ᴿᴱᴰ, which donates 50% of proceeds to healthcare equity initiatives.
