NEW ORLEANS (November 16, 2018)— The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) is pleased to announce that Rebecca Aubrey, an Elementary World (Spanish) Language Teacher at Ashford School in the Ashford School District in Ashford, Connecticut, and a representative of the Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (NECTFL) has been named the 2019 ACTFL National Language Teacher of the Year. The announcement was made during the Opening General Session of the 2018 ACTFL Convention & World Languages Expo in New Orleans on Friday, November 16.

NASHVILLE—The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) is pleased to announce the 2018 National Language Teacher of the Year has been awarded to Ying Jin, a Chinese teacher at Cupertino High School in the Fremont Union High School District in Cupertino, CA, and a representative of the Southwest Conference on Language Teaching (SWCOLT). The award presentation was held during the Opening General Session of the 2017 ACTFL Convention & World Languages Expo in Nashville on Friday, Nov. 17.

BOSTON—The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) is pleased to announce the 2017 National Language Teacher of the Year has been awarded to Katrina Griffin, a German teacher at North County High School in Glen Burnie, MD, who represents NECTFL. The award presentation was held during the Opening General Session of the 2016 ACTFL Convention & World Languages Expo in Boston on Friday, Nov. 18.

Noah Geisel, a Spanish teacher at East High School in Denver, CO, was named the 2013 National Language Teacher of the Year by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) at the organization’s annual convention held in Philadelphia, PA.
