Washington, DC—On March 11, the Trump Administration released its budget request for FY2020, which contains several proposed cuts to major programs vital to the language education community, including but not limited to:

Alexandria, VA (May 22, 2013) -- During the National Teacher Appreciation week, which took place May 6-10, 2013, US Department of Education’s Secretary, Arne Duncan recognized Mr. Noah Geisel as the National Language Teacher of the Year—an award presented by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages annually.

The U.S. Department of Education has established its first-ever, fully articulated international strategy. The strategy is designed to simultaneously advance two strategic goals: strengthening U.S. education and advancing our nation’s international priorities.
