Club Italiano Dante Alighieri Roma Scholarship

The Rome language Centre of the Dante Alighieri school was founded in 1994 and specializes in the teaching and learning of Italian language for foreign students. Club DA Rome offers language and culture courses, internship and opera and voice programs.  The school has authorization from the Education Ministry and is open all year round.

The Club Italiano Dante Alighieri Roma will offer two (2) scholarships for the 2017 year at their center in Rome, Italy.

Information about scholarships:

  • One (1) two-week scholarship for a Italian as a foreign language teacher refresher course at Club Italiano Dante Alighieri
  • One (1) four-week scholarship for a Italian language course (from beginner to B2 level)  at Club Italiano Dante Alighieri

Scholarship includes:

  • All fees for the course

The scholarship winners are responsible for all travel to and accommodations in Rome, Italy, along with a one-time 80€ fee to cover teaching materials, books, and internet access. The winners are responsible for any personal expenses and optional activities.

To be eligible a candidate must be:

  • current ACTFL member (membership must be paid through March 2017 to be eligible)
  • able to demonstrate a high level of interest and motivation for the course of study offered
  • of a sufficiently proficient level in Italian to be able to profit from the course of study
  • willing to share the experience gained

The deadline to apply for this award is March 31, 2017. Applicants will be notified of a decision by the end of April 2017.
