Our goal as we develop the AAPPL is to ensure that our teams, much like the content of the test itself, reflect the rich diversity of the language learning population we serve. ACTFL's Item Writing Opportunity will allow world language educators to grow in the areas of:

  • Perseverance in finding appropriate and engaging material
  • Creativity in adapting content to align with a given proficiency level
  • Discernment in preventing bias and sensitivity in the AAPPL
