SENATE BILLS INTRODUCED: S. 1089 (Akaka, D-Hawaii), the "National Foreign Language Coordination Act of 2005", to establish the National Foreign Language Coordination Council to develop and implement a foreign language strategy (Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions). The Secretary of Education would be one of the members of the Council.
