SpeakMandarin/ACTFL Scholarship
 
Speak Mandarin is an online Mandarin tutoring company based in San Diego and Beijing.  Utilizing the latest in Internet technologies and pedagogical approaches, SpeakMandarin.com offers live online, one-on-one Mandarin Chinese training with native-speaking certified teachers to learners worldwide.  Our mandarin teachers are highly qualified, experienced and well trained by China’s top universities such as Peking University, Beijing Normal University, Beijing Language and culture University, etc.   All of them are teaching Mandarin Chinese as a second language major, and hold the teaching credentials for TCSL. SpeakMandarin.com accommodates all levels of the learners.
 
We will provide three scholarships for three ACTFL members with 90 online live Chinese lessons within 6 weeks.
 
Application DEADLINE: March 29, 2013
 
Each award valued $1045, including:

•    customized learning plan
•    90 50-min online live Chinese classes within 6 weeks, 15 sessions per week
•    Learning materials
•    out-of-class self-study learning tool
•    Personal Consultant

To be eligible, a candidate must be:

•    a current ACTFL member
•    able to demonstrate a high level of interest and motivation for the course of study offered (scholarships are open to all levels of learners including students, teachers and retired members with no past Mandarin experience)
•    able to commit to the program and complete the lessons and other assignment
•    willing to share the experience gained
