NCATE and TEAC have merged to become the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). As the new national accreditor of teacher prepation, CAEP is seeking public comment on the draft of the next generation of accreditation standards and performance measures. All stakeholders in education and educator preparation are encouraged to review the draft standards and submit feedback at http://standards.caepnet.org between Feb. 22 and March 29, 2013. These are the CAEP standards for Educator Preparation Providers, such as colleges, universities, and other institutions.  They are NOT our ACTFL/NCATE/CAEP Program Standards, which, hopefully, will be approved in October 2013.
